Crackers Cracker and hacker have been used synonymously in the present day. Cracker is a term given to a person who breaks into a computer system to plant Trojans or computer application software by modifying the software so as to run their own programs. A cracker also breaks into various trial versions of the software to make it full versions. They also break into softwares retrieving licensing keys and register the trial versions as full versions. Crackers use the process of disassemblers to break into the software keys or application program. Most real hackers would have done some cracking or even know the basic techniques of cracking.
